for what feels like forever fall out boy has been my therapy. i dont know what it was before that. but it was a part of everything i felt. i know i might not have smiled or talked at meet and greets from time to time. sometimes we had flown in at 5 am or i was sick or had something going on. sometimes i felt shy. sometimes just a bit off. most times i assume people dislike me when i meet them so i dont really talk a whole lot. but every single night on that stage is where i left everything that was twisted up inside my stomach. every single wish. everything. all of the big blackness poured out in sweat, words, screams. and i have to admit i let the fame bug crawl inside me and turn me into mr. hyde for a minute. but i was off of that a long time before anyone thinks i was- in fact all of “ioh” is about being off of it. unfortunately it is something like pandoras box and once you open it- it cant be shut again. and i wish it could more than anybody. if you are a fan of mine please dont vote for me in those stupid polls or anything that doesnt have to do with something i feel passionate about. even that being said. even pretty much going out every night thinking the whole front row of the audience hated me. it felt like going from hulk hogan to sid justice, or whatever his name was. but it still was therapy. and i felt a connection. i felt like a real human. im not the greatest one on one. actually i am probably one of the worst. i dont like to talk or at least i keep whatever i am thinking bottled up. i guess this is me saying thank you for giving that to me. i dont think i can say it enough.

and i the reason for the robert downey jr. quote is ive read in interviews that he turned to physical activities and martial arts as a form of therapy. and i guess thats where i get my therapy now that fob is gone. i get it from running and yoga. no real reason to write this- except to say: you guys were real. you guys are real. pretty rare these days.

Popcorn punk band Fall Out Boy has conquered the charts and MTV with ease. Now the quartet is hopping into comics with Fall Out Toy Works, a five-issue miniseries that re-engineers Pinocchio and Pygmalion for pop culture.

Using his band’s recent tune “Tiffany Blews” as a point of departure, Fall Out Boy bassist, singer and lyricist Pete Wentz worked with designers Darren Romanelli and Jeff Krelitz to conceive the comic’s story of a futuristic toymaker hoping to build the perfect female droid. Wentz then signed on Bulletproof Monk scribe Brett Lewis and artist Sam Basri to give an old story new flesh.

“The idea of manufactured love, that something nonhuman could be taught human love, is at the core of some of the greatest narratives of all time,” Wentz told Wired.com in an e-mail interview about Fall Out Toy Works, out Tuesday from Image Comics. “And this is a world where proof that technology can move faster than the morality or laws that are supposed to control it exists. Even when things are created with the best of intentions, they can be used in the worst ways depending on who controls them. Or if they find a way to control themselves.”

More issues of Fall Out Toy Works arrive in 2010, as does a motion comic from Double Barrel Motion Labs featuring the band’s music and voiceovers from Wentz and lead vocalist Patrick Stump. The multiple dimensions of the project are what attracted Wentz, who admitted that he’s somewhat new to the comics game.

“I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge comics guy,” Wentz confessed, although he says he grew up with Wolverine and Daredevil. “I liked the ‘What If’ series with The Watcher. I liked the one where Superman died. I also have all three of the first Star Wars comics.”

What drew Wentz back to comics was not the format itself, but its ability to blend seamlessly with other media. He’s not alone: From Disney’s acquisition of Marvel to the rise of motion comics and onward into the future, graphic novels dominate pop culture like never before.

“I’m sure people smell money,” Wentz said of the comics gold rush, especially now that they “have seen a couple of really great comic movies. Of course, there have been some terrible ones as well. But what I like about this project is that it’s not just meant to be a comic, but a world. From the music to the animation to the comic to the microsite, I like the idea that art can be cohesive across mediums.”

After he took the mug shot, Stump posted bail and was released around 4:30 AM.

When it comes to embarrassing nude photographs being leaked to the Internet, Pete Wentz is somewhat of an unwitting expert.

As you’re probably aware, back in 2006, someone hacked into his Sidekick and posted photos of his, uh, manhood onto a message board, making his privates a very public matter. For about 48 hours, Wentz freaked out. He felt angry, embarrassed and — most of all — violated. He hemmed and hawed, nearly quit his band, but then, he decided he had to move on.

He decided the best thing to do was just laugh the entire situation off. Which is why Fall Out Boy parodied the infamous photos in their “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” video. And, over time, people stopped asking him about the whole incident.

But now, a whole new generation of celebs is dealing with same thing. “Bandslam” star Vanessa Hudgens has had to deal with two sets of leaked photos, and on Monday, “Twilight” star Ashley Greene had to deal with a nude-picture scandal of her own. So when Wentz stopped by MTV News on Tuesday (August 11), we asked him if he had any advice for the actresses on how to deal with the whole situation. Turns out, he had a whole lot.

“Well, I handled it pretty terribly for the first 48 hours,” Wentz said. “I mean, I quit my band and everything. But then what I realized is that it’s not the worst thing on the planet that’s ever gonna happen. [I] apologized to my mom, realized that the best way to not have pictures on the Internet is to never take the pictures at all, and then made fun of it. I mean, I didn’t put those pictures out there myself. It wasn’t some ploy, you know, like ‘Yeah, this’ll be a way I’ll get my band big!’ We made fun of it in the ‘Arms Race’ video. And just get over it.”

Wentz said that, sure, the press is going to be bad for a while, but we’re living in the 24-hour news cycle, which means, soon enough, there’s gonna be another scandal for the media outlets to glom on to. So if you can take the heat — and learn to laugh at yourself a bit — you’ll wind up just fine.

“I got asked about it in interviews for a while after that, and then I guess it didn’t matter,” he continued. “The bigger deal you make of it, and the more you try to prove that it wasn’t you or it was like this or that, the only people who are really going to know the story are, like, you and two other people. So, it’s like, don’t sit out there and make it a big deal. Let it go away.”

i have a speech writer on staff. so everything i say every day is actually scripted. if i pause and look like im listening to you if you look very closely i have a tiny ear piece in and im just waiting on my next line. it doesnt work well if i get out of range thats why i say stupid stuff sometimes.

before fall out boy broke i came up with an idea for “hand de-sanitizer” for our government. so if our leaders were meeting with people they didnt like they could “germ em up”. i apparently brought this up to the wrong member of my city council.

i actually had such long legs as a child that my parents took me to a specialist in prague and had them shortened. so technically i am 6ft 1in.

robert pattinson is based off me. no not the character from the movie. i mean him the actual human being. i dont know why people dont notice my sexy accent or height or perfect cheekbones. it keeps me up at night.

my cellphone isnt even connected to anything. anytime im talking on it i am just recording my voice so i can have a conversation with myself later.

by some weird birth defect my body is body is made of 30 percent beer. so when i had house parties when i was younger i never had to get a keg, i just spit in my friends mouths. kinda also accounts for my constant haziness and poor spelling.

i dont really know how to play the bass. but ive just about gotten the hang of how to hold one.

i dont own 800 hoodies. i actually have them on loan. i rent them. call me frugal.
